Open information and data
Most environmental data related to a raw material project will be made publicly available in the context of the public consultation of an EIA report. The Environmental Agency for Mineral Resource Activities’ (EAMRA) own publications, such as monitoring reports, can be consulted here.
If you have any questions about specific environmental data, please contact EAMRA at eamra@nanoq.gl
Confidentiality of environmental data
Certain raw data may be subject to restrictions and confidentiality for a limited period. For example, a mining company may have rights to specific information in certain types of reported data for a certain period. General information on any confidential reports may be made public during the confidentiality period. After such a period of confidentiality ends, both the mining company and the Greenland Self-Government shall have the right to freely dispose of all reported data.
Researchers have the right to publish their own data in the scientific context before it becomes fully publicly available.
